Frustrated with fiberglass tubes and switchbands that arrive unevenly cut? Fed up with making your own cuts only to find they’re slightly off-angle? Eliminate these issues with the RoysRockets Sanding Square, designed to help you accurately sand tubes for consistently precise, perfectly matched ends.

Attach the self-adhesive sandpaper to the sanding block, secure it onto the sleeve with the screws, then rotate the sanding block along the tube’s end to sand the tube square with the sleeve.

Individual sleeves DO NOT come with the sanding block and need to be purchased separately.

Sandpaper like this is what I use (click here) *not included*

The sanding block can be used alone with any 2.75" self-adhesive sandpaper for unlimited options.

Each SET comes with the respective sleeves AND sanding block.

Made to order. Please allow 2-3 days for shipping.

***Sleeves were designed/tested on Wildman tubing sizes.  While they may fit others, the exact fit is based on IDs posted on the WM website and tested on my WM tubing.  If it's too loose, you can add a strip of tape parallel to the body tube to take up any slack***

great tool

I got the complete set of fiberglass Sanding Squares, and used the 2.6" size on a couple Wildman rockets I am building.

I checked and the 3 and 4 inch tools fit rocket body tubes I have on hand.

Very happy with the set I got from Roy''s Rockets.

Great Tool

Through my almost 30 years in HPR, I thought I was pretty darn good at squaring the ends of airframes using a sanding block and a machinist square. It took some time but I was close. Sometimes.

I purchased the Sanding Square on a whim and thought I would give it a try. What a game changer! I squared up the ends on some 4" Wildman airframe parts including the nosecone in a few minutes. There is dust, but it is minimal. The end results are better than I have achieved in the past.

A couple of suggestions when using: 1) Mark the end with a black magic marker in order to monitor the squaring process. A bit difficult to check this without a component fit-up; 2) Seal the tube ends with thin CA and lightly sand once cured.

Great job Roy!!!
